Mr. Kim and His Excellency

Here is an AFP story regarding the meeting between Kim and the South Korean Unification Minister that took place today in Pyongyang. It focuses on the much more complimentary rhetoric coming from both Kim and Bush, with Bush calling the NK leader "Mr. Kim" and Kim calling Bush "His Excellency."

Such quotes are certainly contrary to how the media portrays him. Clearly there is a fine line between the propaganda that the DPRK press spews forth and what the "Dear Leader" says in his relations with the world. Perhaps he is trying to turn around his image and finalize the North Korean attempts to become an international power. This article makes Bush sound like the weirdo and Kim the normal leader.
