The Two Births of Kim Jong Il

I was just looking at random things about North Korea and I came across this. Its just a video about the two births of Kim Jong Il. It covers the legend about him coming from Mt. Paektu and the real story about him being born in Siberia.

I find it hard to believe that the Korean people truly believe in this holy man born on the top of a mountain. The regime has done such a good job of masking his true story and creating an aura of holiness. This sort of elevation I see as unique for a communist nation. North Korea has strayed from traditional Marxist communist teachings by elevating the role of education, art, and ideology. I think it has done so effectively because it seems people in North Korea really believe..
